The ideal candidate is a project manager or architectural leader who demonstrates initiative and delivers results. This role involves interfacing with clients and managing consultants across multiple commercial projects. Strong communication skills are essential. The candidate will be expected to exceed core responsibilities and contribute to new initiatives that support the client’s growth and success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and ensure compliance with construction codes (building and zoning)
• Develop schematic designs and detailed construction documents
• Direct and supervise in-house drafters and external consultants
• Plan, prepare, and review project deliverables
• Manage project design costs
• Represent the client in meetings with stakeholders
• Prepare administrative documentation including meeting minutes, change orders, punch lists, and RFIs

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture
• At least 10 years of experience in commercial construction design (laboratory design experience is a significant plus)
• Minimum of 5 years in project management (10+ years for the Senior role)
• Proficiency in design, production, and coordination of construction documents
• Proven experience managing architectural and engineering teams
• Strong knowledge of New Jersey building codes
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit

Salary Range: $100,000 – $130,000, based on experience.
