About Organization

Cloud Platform Division (CPD) provides cloud platform technology for Rakuten Mobile. The Cloud Network Department (CND), a part of the CPD team, specializes in networks, which are the core technology of cloud infrastructure. You will be involved in creative and innovative work that advances the mobile network daily, together with engineers who possess advanced cloud technology at the core of the world's first "fully virtualized cloud-native mobile network" realized by Rakuten Mobile.

Job Duties

Application Network Design and Engineering Section is part of the Cloud Network Department (CND) and is responsible for both engineering and operating cloud network functions such as load balancers, firewalls, and NAT within the cloud network. To achieve rapid expansion and stable operation of Rakuten Mobile, and to provide a highly reliable network infrastructure that meets the growing demand for mission-critical applications, engineers who are well-versed in network technology are being sought.

In this role, collaboration with the Cloud Platform Division as well as other departments is essential, as network functions on the cloud are critical. This position requires strong teamwork and communication skills in addition to technical knowledge. Proficiency in English is preferred for communication within the team and across departments.

Minimum Qualifications

• Expertise in F5 LTM/DNS/ASM/AFM domains
• Hands-on skills in network switching and routing
• Experience handling network equipment, including switches and routers
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• 7-10 years of experience in the design and deployment of F5 LTM/DNS/ASM/AFM
• Knowledge of handling virtual instances
• Experience configuring F5 for core protocols (e.g., SIP)
• Hands-on skills in network switching and routing
• Experience handling network equipment, including switches and routers
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with the application team
• Experience in end-to-end delivery, including QA testing and production deployment
