Job Summary:

As Belden transitions from a product-focused organization to a solution-oriented company, we are seeking a highly skilled Data Center expert to lead our efforts in developing cutting-edge technologies and solutions for Hyperscale, Colocation, and Enterprise Data Centers. This position plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of AI-driven data center infrastructure by leveraging Belden's products to deliver innovative, market-driven solutions. The ideal candidate will possess deep domain expertise, extensive industry connections, and a forward-thinking mindset to identify emerging trends, influence market needs, and collaborate on ground-breaking projects that redefine data center standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Technology Development & Leadership: Drive innovation by identifying, evaluating, and contributing to the development of advanced technologies for AI-enabled data center connectivity infrastructure.
2. Market Insight & Industry Influence: Stay ahead of technology advancements by tracking trends, attending conferences, and actively participating in industry discussions to influence technology standards and developments.
3. Solution Architecture: This role involves creating detailed technical documentation, conducting experiments, and collaborating closely with team members to expand the organization's knowledge base. The insights and expertise provided by the individual in this position will play a key role in shaping Belden's technology strategies and elevating its data center solutions to meet evolving industry demands.
4. Product Evaluation & Testing: Evaluate, prototype, and test emerging connectivity solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards while improving network latency, speed, and interoperability.
5. Knowledge Sharing & Technical Expertise: Author technical documentation, conduct experiments, and provide insights that guide Belden’s technology roadmap. Act as a key contributor to internal teams and external stakeholders for complex troubleshooting and technical support.
6. Compatibility & Scalability Assessment: Assess the integration of new technologies with existing IT infrastructure and evaluate scalability for enterprise-grade deployments.
7. Collaboration & Standards Leadership: Represent Belden in global standards bodies (e.g., IEEE, IEC, TIA/EIA) to influence and contribute to the evolution of industry standards.

Experience & Qualifications:

1. Education: Master’s or PhD in Engineering, Technology, Electrical, Communications, Computers, or a related field.
2. Industry Expertise: Minimum of 15 years of proven experience in data center design, development, and implementation, with a strong understanding of Connectivity and IT infrastructure.
3. Technical Acumen: Demonstrated success in early technology evaluations, solution development, and navigating emerging trends in AI data centers.
4. Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to break down complex challenges into actionable steps and deliver measurable outcomes in ambiguous situations.
5. Communication & Collaboration: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to influence diverse stakeholders and represent Belden as a thought leader in the industry.
6. Project Management: Experience in developing and managing complex technical projects with cross-functional teams.
7. Standards Development: Active participation and leadership in global standards organizations, such as IEEE, IEC, and TIA/EIA, with contributions that have shaped industry guidelines.
