We are seeking an experienced Architect II to join our award-winning Architecture team. They will play a key role within the project team in preparing and developing project deliverables. An Architect II must understand contractual obligations and support the Project Managers in executing tasks throughout all phases of the project. This position will require a combination of strong design skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to guide and be a mentor to junior team members. This position also requires strong problem-solving abilities, creativity, adaptability and a proactive approach to challenges.
Job Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture is required
Minimum 3-5 years of architectural working experience
Minimum 3 years of AutoCAD and Revit experience
Minimum 1 years of self-managing small project(s) experience with minimal guidance
Strong knowledge of codes, guidelines and regulations applicable to architecture projects including but not limited to Zoning, IBC, ADA, Hawaii Energy Code including local amendments
Experience using complementing software Photoshop/Illustrator, Sketchup, InDesign a plus
Highly creative
Rendering capabilities and familiarity with TwinMotion a plus
Organizational skills and the ability to work well under pressure
Ability to multi-task projects and establish priorities
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites
Excellent interpersonal communication skills and strong work ethic
Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally
Able to work with speed and accuracy in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
Disciplined and driven to meet and commit to project deadlines
Strong presentation skills a plus
Technically inclined towards construction methods and procedures

Essential Job Functions
Constant and consistent communication and reporting to superiors
Coordination with client, subconsultants, and internal team as directed
Participate in the execution of project plans provided by superiors including scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines
Lead the development of innovative and cohesive design concepts, edit drawing models, images, and other documents relating to the design and communicate with the client
Support planning, coordination, programming design, and engineering
Work collaboratively with project teams to ensure alignment with project goals
Pursue on-time completion within budget through stages of the project
Research and understand as-built plans, consultant drawings, specifications and building materials
Participate in coordinating and supervising Project Teams
Present design concepts effectively through visually compelling presentations as required
Assist Project Manager in program development, feasibility studies, and establishing project budget
Implement code review and incorporate code requirements
Implement and monitor quality assurance processes to ensure design deliverables meet established standards.
Coordinate drawings and specifications with consultants and other design team members
Participate in the development of Specifications
Monitor team members’ efficiency and respond to team staffing requirements
Travel to job sites as required to facilitate design and construction
Assist in proposal/marketing efforts with minimal guidance
Project planning and integrating engineering elements into unified design for client review and approval
Prepare project designs and plans using computer assisted drafting (CAD) equipment and associated software
Ensure accuracy, completeness, and coordination of design documents
Prepare studies and reports as requested
Perform other duties as assigned

SALARY RANGE: $89,000 – 113,000 per year depending on experience
