A&R Coordinator / Executive Assistant

Los Angeles, California

As part of the BBR Music Group A&R team, you’ll join a fast-paced environment that intersects with every department within our label group. Our #1 goal in A&R is to create an environment that fosters growth, development and a high level creativity for all of our artists.

Each artist, and their management team, is met with a customized plan for their creative process and that involves the need for diligent organization and timeline management. You will be responsible for creating that organizational flow and communicating it across management teams and internal departments.



What You’ll Be Doing.

  • Serving as executive assistant to the SVP of A&R. Providing administrative support, including: managing schedules, coordinating meetings, handling correspondence, processing expenses, maintaining databases, and organizing files.
  • Assisting with artist research by identifying and researching emerging artists through various channels (e.g., streaming platforms, social media, showcases, industry contacts).
  • Assisting with submission management by tracking and organizing deadlines, production credits, budgets, recording dates, studios, producers, song titles, label copy, collaborations, etc. for ongoing projects.
  • Ordering production parts and audio deliverables from mastering engineers and producers.
  • Compiling and distributing tip sheets to publishers, songwriters, and trade distribution lists.
  • Tagging songs within our music database to support our sync team’s search abilities.
  • Scheduling artist, publisher, and internal team meetings.
  • Managing music links for internal and external distribution.
  • Tracking weekly show schedules for our artists and artists of interest.
  • Maintaining internal playlists, song logs and project checklists.



Must Haves.

  • A proactive approach to identifying challenges and implementing solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and keep team on track.



Nice-to-Haves.

  • Chartmetric knowledge.
  • Experience using Dropbox and/or other file sharing and data organization sites.
  • Basic understanding of A&R.
  • Familiarity with Garage Band or similar production software.

Pay Range

$55,000 – 60,000 per annum

The pay range listed above is dependent upon factors such as work experience, qualifications and business needs. In addition to the range above, this role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and applicable benefits.
