We have an exciting roadmap ahead for new products, services, production capacity and business expansion. As a result of this continued success, we are expanding our teams in Terex Washing Systems. We currently have opportunities for an Applications Engineer.
Position Details
This position is for a key role in the Terex Washing Systems Applications Engineering team. The role has a particular focus on on-site plant optimisation, commissioning and troubleshooting, however, the successful applicant will also participate in the functions of the wider Applications team in respect to equipment selection, performance estimations, plant audits, efficiency improvement recommendations, plant layouts and flow sheets and equipment applications training. The role will demand strong practical engineering skills for the on-site element in conjunction with strong skills for the process design and evaluation aspects.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
- Provide application support for the TWS product range
- Deliver on-site plant optimisation, commissioning and troubleshooting
- Communicate effectively with customers and distributors during on-site works
- Gather and collate performance data on equipment and applications
- Advise dealers/customers on solutions for their application enquires
- Ensure correct equipment is selected to suit required applications
- Prepare of AggFlow simulations detailing expected performance parameters
- Prepare P&ID layouts
- Maintain and update library of stored information on case studies
- Provide detailed technical requirements for bespoke plants to the engineering team. Assist in establishing lead-times and costs
- Carry out testing of material samples and prepare report of results
- Investigate new applications for existing products

About You
Experience Level & Required Qualifications:
- Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent
- Ideally having experience in industrial process design with washing equipment
- Experience with crushing and screening would also be advantageous
- Proven knowledge in plant optimization, commissioning and troubleshooting
- Strong practical engineering skills and experience. Electrical / control experience would also be advantageous
- Proven abilities in problem-solving
- Experience of working in a customer facing environment
- Experience of AggFlow and/or Creo/Pro-Engineer packages
- Ability to communicate effectively internally and externally with strong presentation, report writing and oral skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multi-discipline team
- Willingness to travel internationally
- Strong planning and execution skills
- Ability to handle and complete multiple projects under tight deadlines
