The Application Systems Analyst is responsible for providing systems analysis, design, development, and configuration of applications that support business operations across the organization. This position participates in both new development and ongoing support within a structured Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) environment, with a focus on maintaining reliable, secure, and standards-compliant systems.
This role works closely with internal teams, vendors, and business users to assess technical requirements, deliver application solutions, and support critical services. It requires the ability to learn and adapt to a variety of platforms and tools, and to collaborate across technical and functional groups. The analyst will also participate in planning efforts, testing, implementation, and documentation to support system success.
Key Duties Include
* Analyze requirements and conduct impact assessments for application enhancements or modifications.
* Design and develop application components and relational databases using approved tools and development frameworks.
* Execute test plans, validate performance, and support conversion and deployment processes.
* Prepare user documentation, technical specifications, and training materials as needed.
* Participate in team planning, estimation, and coordination of tasks and technical discussions.
* Monitor project milestones and provide routine status updates to leadership and stakeholders.
* Review systems and code for quality assurance and alignment with security and compliance standards.
* Support modernization efforts to replace outdated software and hardware platforms.
* Provide after-hours support as required and participate in cross-training and professional development.

Qualified applicants must possess, and application must clearly reflect work experience that demonstrates the following:
* Demonstrated experience in software development, such as systems analysis, modeling, and support across the application lifecycle.
* Hands-on experience with programming tools such as Microsoft C#.NET,, CSS, and JavaScript.
* Proven experience designing or supporting relational databases using Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle.
* Experience in the use of SQL for queries and reporting.
* Applied experience using development frameworks such as Microsoft Visual Studio or the Microsoft .NET Framework for enterprise applications.
Management Preferences:
* Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA for backlog and sprint tracking.
* Exposure to DevOps practices, including continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.
* Understanding of web service standards such as SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol), WSDL (Web Services Description Language), and UDDI (Universal Description, Discovery, and Integration).

Associate degree in computer science or an IT related field or related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution and one year of experience in business application consulting or development,

OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
