They are looking to hire an IT Application Support Analyst to help ensure the efficient and seamless operation of their IT applications. In this entry-level position, you will provide technical assistance, resolve software issues, and collaborate with external vendors to ensure prompt solutions. Effective communication and flexibility to support off-hours as needed will be key to your success in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for enterprise applications, diagnosing and resolving user issues.
- Work alongside vendors to troubleshoot and address software-related problems.
- Maintain accurate documentation of support requests, issues, and resolutions.
- Assist in developing and maintaining user guides, FAQs, and other relevant documentation.
- Monitor application performance, conducting routine checks to identify potential issues.
- Assist in the implementation of software updates and patches.
- Communicate effectively with users to understand their needs and provide clear instructions.
- Participate in an on-call rotation, offering support during off-hours when necessary.
- Keep up with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance support processes.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience in a customer support or IT help desk role.
- A foundational understanding of IT application support, troubleshooting methods, and system administration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Familiarity with HTML for basic web troubleshooting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends for support coverage as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with software such as VIDESKTOP and QUALTRICS.
- Basic understanding of SQL databases and scripting languages.
- Experience working with external vendors to resolve software issues.
- Knowledge of ITIL or similar IT service management frameworks.
Compensation & Benefits: The estimated base salary for this position is between $85,000 and $110,000. The actual salary will depend on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors. This is an exempt role, meaning it is not eligible for overtime pay.
