About the Opportunity: GSG is seeking an Application Support Analyst with a strong background in Bloomberg to join our client's Engineering and Technology team. Responsibilities: * Provide on-site technical support across the fixed income platform's proprietary and vended application and data suite. * Identify and resolve issues and requests impacting business application users spanning research, portfolio management, trading, operations, compliance, and technology. * Work with internal teams and third-party providers to design, test and implement new solutions and features, document requirements, and train business users whenever necessary. * Support an array of Bloomberg modules that facilitate: * Receipt and delivery of critical transaction, security, and position-based data feeds * Portfolio analytics * Trade execution * Trade affirmation and settlement * Account and user maintenance * Compliance engines * Regulatory reporting * Transaction cost analysis * Research reports * Testing * Perform root cause analysis and seek solutions by examining issues and ideas through inquiry, analysis, dialogue, and evaluation. Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field required, certifications (e.g., CFA, Bloomberg Certification) are a plus. * 2+ years of experience as a Bloomberg trading or portfolio management system administrator or experience in Bloomberg trading, trade support, or compliance * Knowledge of financial markets, fixed income products, and regulations. * Strong problem-solving abilities coupled with excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. * Consultants must welcome engagement with business application users and provide exceptional service. * Strong organizational skills, hyper-attentive to detail & nuance. Desired Qualifications: * 2+ years of SQL experience (min: Basic general knowledge). * CRD CRIMS Experience. * Equity Trading Support Experience. * Ability to quickly grasp and support software code across a suite of applications. * Experience designing technology workflows and processes. * Demonstrated ability to collaborate with teams in different locations and with people operating at different levels across the organization. * Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, data analytics tools (Tableau / PowerBI), and workflow tools (PowerApps).
