Job Title - Principal Application Security Architect

Location - Remote (USA)

Role Type - Contract (at least 6 months)

Must Have Skills:

• Proven experience in application security architecture
• Architecture expertise spanning multiple cybersecurity domains (e.g., AppSec, Network Security)
• Deep understanding of SAST (Static Application Security Testing), DAST (Dynamic Application Security Testing), and SCA (Software Composition Analysis) tools and solutions
• Recent hands-on experience in security architecture with the ability to dive deep into technical conversations
• Strong self-management capabilities with excellent communication skills
• Nice to have: Consulting experience as a trusted security advisor

Responsibilities and Job Details:

• Lead application security architecture initiatives across business units
• Engage in hands-on technical design and implementation of secure application solutions
• Provide expertise across various cybersecurity domains, beyond just AppSec
• Act as a security advisor within the organization, offering guidance on best practices and strategic initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, infrastructure, and compliance
• Conduct risk assessments and security reviews for new and existing applications
• Participate in threat modeling and vulnerability management activities
• Stay abreast of emerging security trends and technologies, integrating them where applicable
• Ensure that architecture designs meet both security and business requirements
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders at multiple levels, including technical teams and senior leadership
• Operate autonomously in a high-responsibility, senior-level role within the organization
• Contribute to the continued growth and maturity of the organization’s security programs and frameworks
