As an Applications Project Manager, you will be a Microbiological Control expert supporting the North American sales team with technical assistance, training, defense, and new business opportunities.
Key Accountabilities/Essential Functions of the Job
Collaborate and support business opportunities
Provide field support for customer applications and troubleshooting
Contribute to new product development and portfolio expansion
Lead training sessions and develop technical materials for internal and external audiences
Manage trial reporting and related communications
Education
Bachelor’s degree preferred - Science and/or Engineering; or equivalent relevant industry experience.
Experience
7-10+ years of industry experience, with a strong background in value sales, business fundamentals, and influencing skills
Expertise in managing chemical applications, project planning, and troubleshooting complex situations
Proven ability to execute marketplace initiatives, manage multiple projects, and make decisions balancing customer needs and company goals
Strong customer service, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence others
Demonstrated technical leadership and collaboration with global teams across Applications, Marketing, and Commercial functions
Sub-Market Specialty Experience
Strong understanding of the MB Control Market
Very knowledgeable of MB specialty chemical programs and their application
Excellent familiarity with various types of deposits: composition, possible sources, and how best to address/manage them
Extensive understanding and experience in MB Control across all areas of papermaking and wastewater treatment, including troubleshooting operational problems
Familiarity with MB digital solutions
Knowledge
MB product line knowledge and general industry knowledge
Sensitive to new business opportunities and strategy to gain
Strong interpersonal skills with multiple levels within the organization
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Fluency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) plus data mining software
Product to market delivery
History of excelling with EHSQ&PR
Travel Requirement (percent of time spent traveling for work)
Expected travel to be 50% - may be higher or lower at certain times of the year depending on demand
General Work Environment
Frequent travel to customer industrial sites, both indoors and outdoors, with potential exposure to temperature extremes
Ability to stand for extended periods and climb multiple levels of stairs
Manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude beneficial
Use of required safety equipment, including hardhat, safety glasses, hearing protection, work boots, gloves, and H2S monitor
Frequent automobile and/or air travel, with proximity to a national airport preferred; remote work when not traveling

The expected compensation range for this position is between $117,675.00 and $164,745.00 plus discretionary bonuses. The exact compensation may vary based on your skills, experience and other factors permitted by law.
