JOB DESCRIPTION

As engineering manager in the Application Innovation Group, you will focus on managing the team that facilitates the development of customer Healthcare applications for additive manufacturing. Development goes from initial benchmark and feasibility studies through validation and verification processes prior to release to a design or technical transfer to volume manufacturing, either internal or external.

In this job, you will not only cooperate with your Manufacturing, Quality and Applications Engineering colleagues world-wide but you can also rely on the knowledge and experience of colleagues from other 3D Systems divisions (software, R&D,…).

You will lead the team of Application Engineers working in a cooperative engineering setting to drive excellence within the team and ultimately customer success. You’ll work with sister departments and sites to establish improved and harmonized processes driving efficiency and speed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage the 3DS team of application engineers in the Healthcare domain.
• Manage operational aspects of the team and connection to sister departments.
• Participate in customer meetings to clarify the value proposition.
• Understand customer needs and define project proposals, based on 3D Systems’ mix of products and services. Complete customer projects on time and in budget.

PROFILE

• Master’s degree in engineering or science or equivalent by experience.
• Min. 5 years of experience in additive manufacturing.
• Experience in Healthcare product development is a plus.
• Commercial flair and experienced with customer contacts.
• Strong project management skills.
• Strongly driven, with the ability to take initiative and motivate others.
• Professional demeanor with excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Willing to travel both domestically and internationally up to 25% of the time.
• Excellent knowledge of English both written and spoken.
