We’re now looking for a driven and detail-oriented Dev Ops / Mid-Level Developer to join our Sync Energy team and help shape the development of our home energy management systems.

About the Role

In this hands-on, hybrid role, you’ll work across app and backend development, leading on feature implementation, technical documentation, and external team coordination. You’ll play a key part in evolving our smart home app experience and server architecture while keeping projects running smoothly.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and document new app features and backend systems
• Write functional specifications for GUI behaviour and detailed flow
• Work with UI developers to define and deliver great user experiences
• Track AWS costs, usage, and incidents
• Manage app release processes including TestFlight
• Log issues, collate support data, and follow up with developers
• Maintain internal visibility via version logs and reports
• Support contracts and track invoicing milestones
• Liaise with external developers and internal stakeholders to keep projects on track

What You’ll Bring

• Experience working with AWS infrastructure
• Strong documentation and requirement writing skills
• Familiarity with API development in Swagger environments
• Background in app development and QA/testing
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and stay organised
• Self-starter mindset with attention to detail
