Summary

As the Lead Application/Integration Developer, you will lead the provision of high-quality applications and integration development and support services for the Department of Justice and Attorney-General (DJAG). You will expertly analyse complex application issues, providing timely resolutions and workarounds to clients while ensuring compliance with service-level agreements. Your responsibilities will also include overseeing operational support and application management for departmental systems, as well as leading the planning, design, build, and implementation of integration solutions that meet business requirements. Your key responsibilities: Lead expert analysis of complex application issues and problems and provide appropriate resolutions or workarounds to clients within service level agreement targets. Lead operational support, application development and management services for departmental applications systems and integration components. Lead the planning, design, build and implementation of application and integration solutions that address business requirements and satisfy relevant departmental, government and industry best practice/standards. Develop, implement, and maintain standards, guidelines and knowledge base articles for applications support, administration and development while ensuring compliance to relevant industry standards and government policies. Other duties: Liaise effectively with clients, federated groups and external stakeholders on applications and integration matters, including the ability to work with federated groups to troubleshoot problems then enhance application technologies utilising established change control methodologies. Maintain knowledge of current trends, industry and technology directions and product road maps for applications and integration support, administration and development methodologies and technologies. Support the continuous improvement of the Department's applications and integration platforms including the monitoring and tracking of client feedback for improvements or additions and the optimisation of business systems to ensure their efficient, effective, and secure operation. Co-ordinate activities with other developers in the team to ensure that integration projects are delivered to requirements and development standards/guardrails. This role will perform other essential duties and tasks specific to the position as would be reasonably required. There are no mandatory qualifications required for this role, however, recent industry application and integration development experience using Microsoft technologies including Azure, APIM, C#, REST APIs, SQL, DevOps, CI/CD, and test-driven development and web services development, would be highly regarded.
