SALARY GRADE: 9 SALARY RANGE: 1ST STEP: $77,095.20 per annum 2ND STEP: $81,172.00 per annum JOB RATE: $85,412.60 per annum JOB TYPE: Union POSTING DATE: October 31, 2024 CLOSING DATE: November 14, 2024 We are looking for a PeopleSoft Developer with experience in development and supporting HCM and financial PeopleSoft systems. The successful candidate must be well versed in the various aspects of PeopleSoft development. Our ideal candidate will have multiple years of hands-on experience in the development using SQR/PeopleCode/BI Publisher and Integration Broker knowledge to develop and maintain integrations with internal and external systems. The candidate will have full understanding of test plans, testing, documentation, system/user support and maintenance, technical documentation, functional and technical specifications. The candidate will also have expertise and experience in troubleshooting incidents with clients as well as internal and external parties. We expect the individual to have enthusiasm to provide quality customer service and to develop a strong understanding of the system and lines of business we support. AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY: Reporting to the Team Lead, IT, develop, maintain and support applications. Performs business analysis and aids in designing, developing, maintaining and enhancing technology solutions. Primarily focusses on enhancing enterprise applications, integration of solutions, business intelligence development, documentation and training of users. Directs software specialist and departmental developers as required. Act as the IT partner and lead for small/medium departmental projects and implementation of upgrades, new releases and system enhancements. Act as a consultant to assist departmental staff with the implementation, deployment and support of in-house and third party applications. Provide guidance and direction to software specialists and departmental developers. Create specifications for automated applications. Develop applications utilizing various tools/languages. Responsible for the design, development, testing, installation and debugging of programs and modifications to programs that produce a variety of system generated documents, forms and reports. Conduct system testing to ensure all programs are adequately tested and that the systems meet user requirements. Research the market, compare and recommend new tools/applications/versions. Maintain existing systems, solutions and applications. Test systems, solutions and applications. Create user and system documentation. Train users in application and solution functionality. Liaise with computer vendors/suppliers regarding equipment purchases. SELECTION CRITERIA: EDUCATION: High school (Grade 12) graduation plus an additional program of over two and up to three years in Computer Science or equivalent. EXPERIENCE: Over two (2) years, up to and including four (4) years of related experience. OTHER SKILLS AND ASSETS: Experience with C# or an equivalent .Net programming language. Good understanding of relational database design, dashboarding, reporting and other Business Intelligence (BI) methods and tools. Strong business analytical skills coupled with demonstrated creative abilities to solve business problems. Must be organized, able to work within established timelines in a fast paced development environment. Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on customer service. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. **Various tests and/or exams may be administered as part of the selection criteria.
