The position will be responsible for both presales technical support activities (e.g., technical presentations to prospective customers and at conferences, technical support to sales team for tender responses, managing instrument demonstrations & sample analyses for prospective customers etc) and postsales applications support (eg, applications & technical support and trainings to customers). The position requires a strong background in Mass Spectrometry with focus on OMICS and Applied Markets. Additional experience in other analytical instrument such as FPLC, LC, GC, SEC, ICP-OES and ICP-MS advantageous.
To become an expert in running and presenting on Bruker’s MS systems & solutions (includes software & consumables), through extensive training (local & international), on-the-job learning and using prior experience.
Deliver technical sales presentations to prospective customers including in-person, online and at conferences as part of the presales strategic plan to drive growth in Singapore.
Perform postsales data analysis with statistical and bioinformatics software tools
Liaise closely with key customer site scientists to become integral in their OMICS and Applied Markets research projects in order to drive the mass spectrometry research component of each project
Perform demonstrations to/sample analyses for prospective customers using customer Bruker’s MS instrumentation and provide expert advice to customers during the sales process, focusing on how Bruker MS system solutions will address and benefit the customer’s needs
Ensure that the Bruker MS instrumentation, analysis and customer demonstrations are properly prepared, in order to guarantee the highest level of customer experience in a timely manner
Perform on-site trainings and mentoring on Bruker MS instrumentation and software to users at customer site. Training can include hands on instrument training and class room teaching.
Provide Bruker MS application support for customers. Perform customer support including phone & email support, as well as travel to customer sites for on-site support
Perform training courses on Bruker MS instrumentation and software for customers and our service engineers as necessary
Develop and maintain technical expertise on Bruker’s MS systems & software products/solutions for OMICS and Applied Markets
Monthly reporting of activities
Participating in Bruker trainings via online to keep knowledge current
Learn and help to provide application support for other analytical instrument brands such as Knauer, Skalar, Analytik Jena, Promochrom, Rudolph and Postnova.
Requirements
BSc (Hons) degree or Master’s degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or Biological Chemistry or Life Sciences or OMICS related field is a pre-requisite.
Minimum 3-years of hands-on user experience in operating MS instrumentation in the OMICS discipline. Experience with Bruker MS instrumentation is considered an advantage.
