We are working with a large retailer-owned organization seeking to hire a Software Development Architect where you will architect robust, scalable applications that are critical for business continuity. This is an exciting opportunity to join an industry leader where you will oversee the development of these applications to ensure they meet the needs of the business and its customers.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy robust and scalable software applications using Java, JavaScript, CSS, Angular, and SQL.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver user-focused features that align with business goals.
• Define and enforce best practices for coding, testing, documentation, and code reviews to ensure code quality and consistency.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers while supporting reusable and scalable development practices.
• Manage application deployment and troubleshooting across production and non-production Linux environments, with a strong focus on database efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Strong professional software development experience and Grocery or CPG industry experience.
• Proficient in Java, JavaScript, CSS, Angular, SQL, and web development technologies including RESTful APIs and microservices.
• Familiarity Linux environments, and strong understanding of database structures and SQL.
• Experienced in agile methodologies, version control systems, CI/CD pipelines, and capable of working independently or in teams.
• Experience with COBOL or CICS is a huge plus but not required.
