Summary

该职位来源于猎聘 Main responsibility of Apparel & Accessories Merchandiser is to oversee the apparel business from product development going to production; and up to finished product. The functions are coordination with US product developer and designer in the smooth development processes of current and newly sourced product; sourcing of vendors that are suitable to DECKERS manufacturing standard and ESC/RS – which include manufacturing development; tracking of vendors production commitment and help production and factory planning team to resolve production issues that may cause production interruptions / delays. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 35% Development:

  • Coordination with US product development and PLM in ensuring product development will be executed accordingly in terms of sample material/ workmanship / and fit requirements, and delivery on timely manner.
  • Close coordination with US PD/Designer or involvement in the approval of samples – this includes relaying of comments and other technical instructions to ensure understanding of the vendors.
  • Prepare vendor scorecards for Lifestyle factories development performance and samples delivery.
  • Ensure that all materials used on products during development are tested and can meet Deckers requirements.
  • Price negotiation. CBS input and monitoring the sample material/construction for a better margin.
  • Stick to CP, set up T&A, drive things happen at every milestone. 25% Production:
  • Order execution. Closely follow up production status for on-time delivery.
  • Play as a driver, teamwork with different parties for problem solving at whole product life cycle.
  • Partner with product and material teams to develop packaging accessories and updating vendor manual on a timely manner.
  • Manage seasonal projections and analyze, reporting based on key merchandising KPI’s (adoption rates, style productivity, pricing/margin hit rate…) 15% Sourcing: Sourcing of new manufacturers and develops them to meet Deckers manufacturing standard. Guide and lead vendors to comply with Deckers manufacturing requirement on RS/ESC social compliance.

25% Costing: PLM maintenance for BOM/Costing in different sample stage, Responsible for meeting the Brand’s GM target.

QUALIFICATIONS Education & Any Certifications Required

College Degree or Above in Merchandising or related field in Apparel & Accessories industry. Year(s) of Experience & Background Required

Minimum of 5 years actual manufacturing experience in garment manufacturing environment; managing product development; production and quality. At least 5 years technical /relevant experience in garments industry, especially sportwear, casual wear. Functional & Technical Competencies

  • Strong product and material knowledge with good development skills, and familiar with merchandising and product development process.
  • Ability to communicate his/her own points of view in a clear, logically structured and professional way within the team and with internal/external group.
  • Well organized individual, able to manage multiple tasks, strong problem-solving skills, able to meet deadlines.
  • Good English communication skills (oral and written).
  • Able to work under pressure, result oriented, excellent communication skills, self-motivated, responsive and detail minded.
