We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-centric API Specialist to join our growing team. As an API Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional technical assistance to our valued customers. You will be responsible for troubleshooting and resolving software issues, answering product questions, and guiding users through various functionalities. This role requires a strong understanding of APIs, experience with ticketing systems, and excellent communication skills. Responsibilities Will Include
- Provide timely and effective API support to Entrata software users via phone, email, and chat.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues related to API functionality, integrations, and data management.
- Assist customers with API usage and integration questions, including request formatting, authentication, and error handling.
- Accurately document customer interactions and solutions in the Zendesk ticketing system and via email.
- Escalate complex issues to senior staff or development teams as needed.
- Contribute to the knowledge base by creating and updating documentation, FAQs, and troubleshooting guides.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest Entrata software features and releases.
- Participate in team meetings and training sessions to enhance technical skills and product knowledge.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and product management, to identify and address recurring issues.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor while interacting with customers, even in challenging situations.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 1+ years of experience in an API role, preferably in a software or SaaS environment.
- Demonstrated understanding of APIs and their practical applications.
- Experience using ticketing systems, such as Zendesk, to manage and track customer requests.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Proficiency using Postman for API testing, debugging, and documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Familiarity with property management software or the real estate industry.
- Experience with SQL or other database query languages.
- Knowledge of networking concepts and troubleshooting techniques.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
