Job Description

Are you a tech enthusiast with a knack for SQL, API integration and front-end development? We're on the lookout for a versatile TMS Product & API Integration Specialist to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in enhancing our Transportation Management System (TMS) through seamless API integrations while leveraging your SQL skills for data management and troubleshooting. You will also work on data transformation and automation tasks using Python and increase customer satisfaction and visibility by assisting with development and support of GTMS’s online Customer Portal.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the setup and integration of REST and APIs to optimize the functionality and connectivity of our transportation management system.
• Lead the upgrade from SOAP APIs to REST as needed.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to design, implement, and maintain API endpoints, ensuring smooth communication between different software components.
• Utilize SQL for bulk loading data into our system and troubleshooting data-related issues to ensure the reliability and accuracy of information.
• Conduct thorough QA testing of API implementations to validate functionality, performance, and security, ensuring a seamless user experience.
• Generate comprehensive documentation for API configurations, usage guidelines, and troubleshooting procedures to facilitate efficient support and maintenance.
• Provide tier 1 and tier 2 support for TMS related issues, promptly addressing technical challenges and minimizing system downtime.
• Assist with the creation of customer portal reporting, building and refining reports to provide specific insights to customers.
• Participate in code reviews to help maintain code standards and improve team development practices.
• Utilize Python for data transformation, automation, and customer email reporting.
• Day to Day Collaboration and Management of Costa Rican TMS Dev Team, managing project tasks and priorities to ensure efficient and production ready deployment
  
  

Skills Requirement:

• Proficiency in setting up and configuring REST and SOAP APIs, with hands-on experience in API design, implementation, and testing.
• Strong command of SQL for data loading and troubleshooting, with the ability to write and execute queries effectively.
• Experience with React and JSX for building and maintaining components in a customer-facing web portal.
• Proficiency with Git and GitHub, including proper branch management, version control, and smooth deployments to production with minimal issues.
• Demonstrated initiative and a proactive attitude towards problem-solving, with a track record of successfully implementing API solutions in a production environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in the transportation or logistics industry is a plus.
  
  

Educational Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Previous experience or internship experience is a plus.
• Certifications are also considered a plus.
