Job Title: Android Software Engineer – 3D Experience

Location: Mountain View, CA - On site

Salary: $200k-$300k DOE + Equity - Relocation package is offered

About the Role:

My client is a VC backed start up who are currently in stealth mode and looking to hire an Android Software Engineer to focus on 3D experiences. If you have a strong background in Android development, coupled with experience in game engines, AR/VR, or real-time 3D systems, this could be a perfect match.

We’re not looking for Unity devs — we’re after engineers who understand the core of native Android and C/C++ development, and who can build performant, intuitive experiences from the ground up.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop and optimize high-performance Android applications involving complex 3D interactions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including graphics engineers, designers, and back-end developers.
• Implement and maintain native code components using C/C++ for maximum performance.
• Work with AR/VR frameworks or game engine tooling (Unreal, custom engines, etc.) to deliver next-gen visual applications.
• Drive innovation and contribute to architecture decisions and performance improvements.

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong Android development experience, with apps built in Kotlin or Java.
• Solid foundation in native development (C/C++), especially for performance-critical systems.
• Practical experience with 3D frameworks, game engines, or AR/VR technologies.
• Familiarity with graphics pipelines, shaders, or 3D asset integration is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
