About The Job

Deutsche Telekom Digital Labs is the behind-the-scenes powerhouse that fuels Deutsche Telekom’s passion & commitment to cutting edge innovation & out of the world customer experience. We create compelling digital propositions for the worlds’ largest Telekom giant by building scalable and agile platforms to provide the best of digital experience to Deutsche Telekom customers across Europe.

We aim to bring all the Deutsche Telekom customers onto our digital products by simplifying the experience. This includes innovative approaches to allow the user to explore compelling propositions, recommend most suitable services based on micro segmentation and so on.

What we will trust you with:

• Design and develop user-facing features for the native apps on android devices by leveraging mobile operating system frameworks.
• Ensure the best performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application.
• Produce high quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed.

About You

You have gained knowledge, experience, and expertise in significant projects. Now, how will you use these achievements to make some real impact on the world? You must have:

• Ownership mind-set ( Be an owner, not a renter)
• Identify and correct bottlenecks and always think on how we can improve our work (both in processes and solutions )
• Strong knowledge of Java/Kotlin for Android build system including experience to Jetpack Compose.
• Strong object-oriented design skills including design patterns, data structures, test driven development.
• Sound knowledge of memory management and concurrency.
• Working knowledge of Android internals, Android UI design principles, patterns, and best practices to help build high performance apps with low footprint.
• Experience building Android app from scratch with a strong focus on architecture.
• Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON.
• Experience with third-party libraries e.g. Dagger, Rxjava, Retrofit, GSON
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for automating build and packaging processes
• Hands on knowledge working with Junit, Mockito.
