Analyst - Paid Media Consumer Analytics (Subs + Box)

Client is a truly global company, with over 25 titles in 32 markets, and paid subscriptions are key to its past, present, and future success. As a member of our consumer revenue analytics team, you will be tasked with democratizing campaign, test, and subscription funnel data that underlies our consumer businesses and empowering counterparts throughout the paid media and greater consumer revenue team to make informed decisions at both strategic and tactical levels.

You will have a strong quantitative skill set, a solid understanding of performance marketing operations and metrics, and the ability to think critically and incorporate data and testing findings into the decision-making process. You should also be comfortable working collaboratively across different regions and in a fast-paced environment.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support paid team with reporting and segmentation needs across tactics, including content marketing and direct response
  • Build & maintain reporting dashboards, aggregating data from multiple sources
  • QA testing plans
  • Conduct exploratory and ad-hoc analyses and build audience segments to help grow and retain the subscriber base for all consumer brands, with a focus on our paid acquisition and retention campaigns
  • Aggregate and apply learnings from internal tests, external research, and the competitive landscape to find new opportunities to grow subscription revenue
  • Identify areas of the consumer journey with the highest marginal opportunity and potential to grow profit


Desired Skills & Qualifications:


Languages:

  • SQL preferred (will be expected to learn on the job otherwise)
  • Python or R a plus
  • Technologies:
  • Familiarity with querying relational databases
  • Excel
  • Basic understanding of data visualization and principles


Analytics:

  • Web
  • Marketing
  • A/B Testing
  • Knowledge of CDPs and data providers a plus
  • Basic understanding of statistics


Platforms:

  • Snowplow
  • Shopify
  • Optimizely or other experimentation platforms a plus
  • Visualization tools like Mode Analytics, Looker, ggplot/matplotlib or equivalent
