Summary

Donnelly Penman & Partners (DPP) is seeking to add an Analyst or Associate to its team. 


DPP is an employee-owned, boutique investment banking firm located in Grosse Pointe, Michigan. Our professionals collectively have more than 130 years of experience serving our industrial and financial services clients across the nation.  DPP provides comprehensive corporate finance advisory services to both public and private companies, including merger and acquisition advisory, capital raising, and general financial advisory services such as fairness opinions and valuations. We are committed to precise execution, long-term relationships, and providing innovative solutions for our clients, which has led our team to successfully complete more than 340 transactions since inception. We are a FINRA licensed broker dealer and a member SIPC firm.


The candidate should be an analytically driven, high-integrity individual with one to four years of relevant work experience and a demonstrated skillset in financial modeling. Additionally, the candidate should be a self-starter that is entrepreneurial in nature, possessing strong oral and written communication skills and attention to detail. A complete list of the role’s responsibilities, qualifications, and other pertinent information is below. 


Position Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of offering materials (CIMs, investor presentations, management presentations, PPMs) and pitchbooks
  • Buyer/target list research
  • Company, industry, and market research
  • Conduct peer studies, including comparing relevant financial and operational performance with corresponding market valuations
  • Manage and perform company due diligence and virtual data rooms


Skillsets & Capabilities:

  • Deep exposure to, and experience with, fully integrated financial models and valuation techniques
  • Experience with sell-side and buy-side M&A processes
  • Microsoft office proficiency, with specific emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to learn quickly and work well in team and individual settings
  • Prior experience within the financial institutions (depositories) sector preferred


Prior Work Experience, Education, and Licensing:

  • One to four years of relevant work experience
  • Investment banking, private equity, valuation advisory, financial or turnaround consulting, accounting, banking/lending
  • Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, or other relevant business or statistics/mathematics discipline; graduate degree or MBA a plus. 
  • FINRA Series 7, 79, 62, 63 licensing preferred, but not required
