LTC Language Solutions is looking for skilled, freelance, contract American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter in the Chicago, IL area.

Here is what you get to do:

• Provide high-quality, in-person sign language interpretation at various client locations in and around Chicago, Illinois.Opportunity for virtual assignments as well
• Accurately interpret in various medical and community settings
• Ensure language access is provided
• Provide excellent customer service
• Choose your own assignments for interpretation
• Strong understanding of sign language and Deaf culture
  
  

Requirements

• Interpreting certifications, preferred
• Minimum of 2 years medical interpreting experience preferred
• Minimum of 1-2years of interpreting experience required
• Ability to keep accurate records
  
  

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in American Sign Language (preferred)
• 2+ years of ASL interpreting experience
• Passionate about providing language access
• NIC certification or higher (preferred)
• Follow RID Interpreter Code of Ethics
• Comply with all state, local, and federal laws and regulations regarding privacy and confidentiality of medical information, including HIPAA
  
  

This is a 1099, contract, freelance sign language interpreter position. You will work as needed and choose your own assignments.
