Responsibilities:

  • Greeting and escorting all guests to tables, assisting in seating and distributing menus
  • Extending courteous departures as guests leave the restaurant
  • Preparing station chart and assigning stations to staff following departmental procedures
  • Inspecting condition and cleanliness of menus and wine lists; ensuring designated amounts are available. Updating menus and wine lists as changes occur
  • Inspecting the restaurant environment and entrance area
  • Inspecting tables and stations, ensuring that all set-ups meet the department standards
  • Taking, recording and confirming restaurant reservations/cancellations as specified in departmental standards
  • Communicating pertinent information to coworkers during operation
  • Extend courteous departures as guests leave the restaurant

Requirements:

  • Prior Food Service experience is ideal, but willing to train the right person. We are dedicated to thoroughly training & developing our team into hotel leaders through interactive teamwork in a positive work environment!
  • Knowledge of retail math for handling cash transactions
  • A genuine passion for the culinary arts, food, and beverage, with a willingness to continuously learn and grow.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build genuine connections with guests and colleagues
  • Familiarity with basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating drink prices
  • Ability to handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures
  • Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure, ensuring efficient service even during peak dining hour
  • Excellent English communication skills and able to read, write and speak fluently
  • Full availability is required, must be able to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays

Compensation: $16 hourly

This position is at a location where Hyatt is not the employer. The employer of individuals working at this hotel may be a third-party management company that is responsible for all employment benefits and obligations at this location.
