We are conveniently within walking distance from multiple transportation stations for easy commuting
Responsibilities:
Greeting and escorting all guests to tables, assisting in seating and distributing menus
Extending courteous departures as guests leave the restaurant
Preparing station chart and assigning stations to staff following departmental procedures
Inspecting condition and cleanliness of menus and wine lists; ensuring designated amounts are available. Updating menus and wine lists as changes occur
Inspecting the restaurant environment and entrance area
Inspecting tables and stations, ensuring that all set-ups meet the department standards
Taking, recording and confirming restaurant reservations/cancellations as specified in departmental standards
Communicating pertinent information to coworkers during operation
Extend courteous departures as guests leave the restaurant
Requirements:
Prior Food Service experience is ideal, but willing to train the right person. We are dedicated to thoroughly training & developing our team into hotel leaders through interactive teamwork in a positive work environment!
Knowledge of retail math for handling cash transactions
A genuine passion for the culinary arts, food, and beverage, with a willingness to continuously learn and grow.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build genuine connections with guests and colleagues
Familiarity with basic math skills for measuring ingredients and calculating drink prices
Ability to handle food safely and follow proper food handling procedures
Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure, ensuring efficient service even during peak dining hour
Excellent English communication skills and able to read, write and speak fluently
Full availability is required, must be able to work varied hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Compensation: $16 hourly
This position is at a location where Hyatt is not the employer. The employer of individuals working at this hotel may be a third-party management company that is responsible for all employment benefits and obligations at this location.
