We're looking for an experienced Allround Support Engineer to join our client's team. In this role, you will act as a crucial link between the service desk and technical teams, ensuring seamless IT operations, security, and continuous improvement. You will be at the forefront of troubleshooting, optimizing infrastructure, and implementing robust solutions. This is an on-site position based in Dessel, with occasional remote work opportunities.

Your Role

• Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Provide second-line support for complex IT issues that go beyond first-line capabilities.
• System & Network Administration: Monitor, maintain, and secure networks, servers, and platforms to guarantee a stable and reliable IT environment.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to IT environment enhancements by proposing and executing innovative solutions.
• Collaboration & Documentation: Work closely with first, second, and third-line engineers while ensuring IT processes, incident reports, and root-cause analyses are well-documented.
  
  
  

Your Responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve advanced IT issues that first-line support cannot address.
• Maintain and configure networks (WAN, LAN, VPN, 802.1X, firewalls) and systems (Windows, Linux, Active Directory, M365, virtualization, storage).
• Support workstations, servers, peripheral devices, and software installations/upgrades.
• Implement and maintain cybersecurity best practices, including patch management and endpoint security.
• Automate recurring tasks using PowerShell scripting.
• Analyze logs (Windows Event Viewer, Syslog) to proactively detect and prevent IT issues.
• Monitor system performance trends and recommend necessary adjustments to optimize operations.
