Permian Resources (NYSE: PR) is currently seeking an Air Quality Compliance Engineer in Midland, TX. The Air Quality Compliance Engineer will be responsible for leading company efforts regarding air quality requirements. They will oversee and support a variety of projects a listed below. The ideal candidate will have strong technical and communication skills as well as be able to contribute their expertise while working cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
General Responsibilities
Oversee compliance monitoring, testing, and reporting programs related to upstream Oil and Gas operators
Oversee in the development of compliance strategies with applicable air quality regulations
Develop implementation processes of best management practices for emission management and mitigation
Perform tasks associated with air quality compliance including but not limited to air permitting, tracking of necessary statistics & records, interfacing with contractors, and interfacing with regulatory bodies as determined by Environmental Manager
Lead interdepartmental coordination of cost-effective air quality compliance initiatives.
Maintain internal record-keeping and performance tracking with applicable air quality rules and regulations
Interface with Operations team to ensure environmental compliance associated with air quality
Interface with Environmental, Social and Governance team to ensure organizational objective and targets are obtained
Ensure all Environmental, Social, and Governance representatives are informed of Environmental compliance initiatives
Interpret regulatory changes and communicate new developments throughout the company
Conduct modeling and calculating air emissions of all regulated pollutants
Support environmental team by training and overseeing of personnel to ensure compliance with applicable air quality regulations
Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, Engineering, or Mathematics or related discipline.
Professional Engineer (PE) or other relevant certification in Texas/New Mexico is preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of environmental experience preferred.
Proficiency with regulations such as NSPS, NESHAP, MACT preferred.
Proficiency in Subpart W Greenhouse Gas calculations & reporting
Expertise with emission modeling software i.e. Promax, HYSYS, etc.
Method 9 or OGIC certifications a plus
