Description

Scan-Shipping Inc. has an immediate opening, for an experienced Air Export Coordinator. We are looking for a candidate who is organized, highly motivated, reliable and who understands and appreciates the importance of team effort. The Air Export Agent is responsible for coordination of all aspects of air export shipments worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordination of all aspects of Air Export from time of quoting to file closing


• Scheduling of pick-ups daily


• Responsible for rating shipments correctly


• Correspondence with customers, vendors and overseas offices Work closely with other departments to deliver high level of service to customers.


• Familiar with arranging direct shipments, consolidations, and domestic airfreight loads.


• Filing AES and issuing airway bill instructions


• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.


• Perform other duties as assigned.


• Establishment of best practices and the performance of duties in accordance with internal and client established KPI's.


• Maintain assigned book of business successfully along with strong attention to detail on everything customer service and finance related.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• 2-5 years' experience in Air Export and/or Customer Service


• In depth knowledge of air export procedures


• Ability to be profit conscious


• Ability to work with demanding deadlines


• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written


• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team


• Ability to establish priorities and accomplish multiple tasks, must be organized


• Must be detail oriented, thorough and accurate and have the ability to efficiently solve problems.


• Strong PC skills


• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills


• Work effectively and efficiently via phone and e-mail


• Good planning and organization skills; ability to multitask.


• Knowledge of Air Export compliance procedures with TSA, CBP, US Census, etc.

What we offer

Salary Range: $55,000 to $65,000 depending on experience Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vison insurance, Short Term Disability and Long Term Disability Insurance. We also offer a flexible benefits account, an optional wellness program, and a matching 401(k) plan.
