As a Platform Engineer at Lufthansa Systems Hungária, you will work on an integrated data and AI platform in the Azure cloud, providing a framework of PaaS services to data projects across various airline domains.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include

• Building and maintaining a Data & AI platform using, for example, Databricks, Unity Catalog, and Azure ML Studio.
• Designing the architecture and working on the platform's development over time to continuously improve it.
• Ensuring the platform's security and stability.
• Working on data ingestion processes using tools like Azure Data Factory.
• Onboarding and enabling business units to effectively utilize the platform.
• Facilitating data sharing and supporting the prototyping and production of AI use cases.
• Ensuring seamless integration with PowerBI for easy BI dashboard creation.

Additional responsibilities

• Implementing cloud-based infrastructure using the Terraform framework.
• Building tools, integrations, and CI/CD pipelines to enhance application development efficiency.
• Supporting operations and DevOps teams in problem resolution and solution implementation.
• Monitoring and troubleshooting platform components.
• Conducting performance analysis and system tuning.

Technologies/Tools you will use

• Azure PaaS services: Azure Databricks, Data Lake, Azure Machine Learning, Synapse, AKS, etc.
• Linux and Windows VMs.
• Azure DevOps framework.
• GitHub Actions.
• Scripting languages such as Python and Bash.
• Terraform for infrastructure deployment.

You are a great fit if you have

• Proven real-world experience in an enterprise setting with the aforementioned technologies.
• Proficient knowledge in Azure Cloud services and architecture, ideally with AI & ML solutions familiarity.
• Proficiency in Terraform and programming languages such as Python.
• Strong scripting skills for automation and deployment using PowerShell and/or Bash.
• Familiarity with Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions for CI/CD in AI & ML projects.
• Understanding of security best practices in Azure, including role-based access control (RBAC) and Azure Active Directory.
• Ability to implement monitoring and logging solutions using Azure Monitor and Azure Log Analytics.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• A willingness to expand knowledge and keep up with constantly improving cloud technologies.
• Strong team spirit and self-organization skills.
• A customer-oriented mindset.
• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
• Willingness to travel (<10%).
