We are seeking a self-driven and technically curious intern to support our AI and automation initiatives as an AI Tools Developer. The ideal candidate will help develop, test, and refine AI/ML-powered tools that support real-world applications and internal innovation projects.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in designing, building, and testing AI/ML-based internal tools and prototypes
Develop automation scripts, models, and data processing pipelines
Integrate open-source and custom AI models into user-friendly toolsets
Conduct performance tuning, error handling, and model optimization
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on feature development and testing
Document code, configurations, and development practices
Stay informed on emerging AI frameworks, trends, and technologies
Preferred Qualifications
Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, or a related field
Proficiency in Python and familiarity with common AI/ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)
Experience with APIs, JSON, and integrating with front-end or CLI tools
Understanding of MLOps principles or experience working with Git, Docker, etc., is a plus
Exposure to NLP, computer vision, or anomaly detection techniques is beneficial
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to learn independently
Must be a U.S. Citizen in order to pass DoD Security Clearance requirements and able to work from the Chantilly, VA location
