This position can be based out of our HQ in Portland, OR, or remote from anywhere in the U.S.
Essential Responsibilities & Duties:
Technical Vision & Strategy:
- Define and execute the product roadmap for AI/ML innovations, ensuring alignment with our broader technical and business strategies.
- Drive the conception, design, and validation of cutting-edge proofs of concept, leveraging state-of-the-art AI technologies.
Engineering & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Partner with engineering teams to transform complex AI/ML concepts into prioritized, actionable requirements.
- Facilitate technical dialogues across departments, ensuring clear communication of technical challenges and breakthroughs.
Market & Technology Analysis:
- Conduct advanced market research and competitive analysis, focusing on emerging trends and disruptive AI technologies.
- Evaluate technical feasibility and strategic fit of potential innovations to maintain a competitive edge.
Business Case & Risk Assessment:
- Develop comprehensive, technically-grounded business cases that incorporate risk assessments, cost-benefit analyses, and scalability considerations.
- Balance innovation with practicality, ensuring technical solutions meet market demands and operational constraints.
Go-to-Market Strategy:
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and other key stakeholders to craft and execute technical go-to-market strategies.
- Ensure smooth integration of AI-driven products into the market, emphasizing technical performance and customer value.
Innovation Culture & Continuous Improvement:
- Champion a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning within the product management team.
- Mentor colleagues on best practices in AI/ML development and product innovation, fostering an environment of creativity and technical rigor.

Qualifications:
- Technical Expertise:
- Minimum 2 years in AI/ML product management or a closely related technical role, ideally within innovation labs or startup settings.
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex AI/ML concepts into practical product requirements and business solutions.
- Technical Skills:
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python is essential, with additional experience in R or SQL considered a plus.
- Machine Learning Frameworks: Familiarity with TensorFlow, PyTorch, and scikit-learn.
- Data Analysis & Visualization: Strong skills with Pandas, NumPy, and visualization tools such as Matplotlib.
- Cloud Platforms & DevOps: Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure; familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes to support scalable deployments.
- Agile Methodologies & Tools: Experience with agile frameworks and project management tools like JIRA
- Communication & Leadership:
- Proven track record of effectively communicating complex technical ideas to diverse audiences, including executives and engineering teams.
- Strong leadership skills with a history of fostering cross-functional collaboration and driving technical projects from ideation to execution.
- Innovative Problem Solving:
- Expertise in creative, technical problem solving, with a deep understanding of AI innovation lifecycles and agile methodologies.
- Experience in developing and managing products through all stages of the technical innovation lifecycle.
- Preferred Domain Expertise:
- In-depth experience with Agentic AI, advanced machine learning algorithms, or related technologies.
- Familiarity with modern software development practices and tools in the context of AI-driven products.

The salary range for this role is $130,000 - $150,000
