Role Overview
As an AI Operations Student you will sit at the heart of our AI delivery pipeline. You will help transform cutting-edge language-model capabilities into reliable products for customers. The role combines hands-on prompt engineering, data-driven experimentation and tight collaboration with Product, R&D, QA and Customer Success.
What You’ll Do
Build, Tune & Evaluate AI Agents -
Prompt engineering- Design prompts and workflows on the Commbox platform and via the OpenAI API using best practices for prompt engineering
Run fine-tuning cycles; inspect training / validation loss curves, learning rate, batch size and other ML metrics;
Execute evaluation and end-to-end tests, analyse results and translate insights into concrete product tweaks.
Track OpenAI releases and broader Gen-AI advances, surface relevant features and proofs-of-concept to the team.
Customer Onboarding & POCs – Partner with Project Managers and CSMs to scope, estimate and deliver projects, communicate progress and results along the way
Cross-Functional Debugging – Work shoulder-to-shoulder with QA, R&D and Product to reproduce issues, validate fixes and streamline internal processes.
Automation & Tooling – Write Python scripts and lightweight internal tools that shorten repetitive tasks and improve data quality.
Documentation – Produce clear, concise docs covering workflows, test plans and customer-facing guides.
Thriving in Dynamism – Juggle multiple threads in a fast-moving environment while holding yourself to agreed timelines.
What We’re Looking For
Enrolled in a B.Sc. in Computer Science or similar (This position is suitable for students in their final year of studies)
Programming skills – Python, any additional language is a plus.
API literacy – understand REST/HTTP concepts
ML appreciation – basic grasp of model training, evaluation metrics and prompt-engineering ideas; prior OpenAI API use is an advantage.
Analytical mindset – comfortable slicing data to diagnose issues and validate hypotheses.
Communication – articulate technical topics in clear English for both technical and business audiences.
Multitasker – able to prioritise, context-switch and deliver on deadlines.
