Summary

Responsibilities:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Agile Project Manager. This position will work closely with the technology teams responsible for business applications and reporting.


Responsibilities

  1. Facilitate Agile Ceremonies: Responsible for organizing and facilitating key Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  2. Business Analysis: Collaborate with the development team on gathering business requirements and documenting them.
  3. Stakeholder Engagement: Communicate project progress, gather feedback, and ensure that stakeholder expectations are met. This often involves regular updates and presentations to various stakeholders, including executives and internal customers. Facilitate UAT as required.
  4. Backlog Management: Work closely with the business and development teams to manage the development backlog. This includes prioritizing tasks/stories, ensuring that user stories are well-defined, and that the team has a clear understanding of the work to be done in each sprint.
  5. Project Planning: Formulate and define scope, schedule milestones, tasks and objectives of project. Maintain project plan.
  6. Project Coordination/Delivery: Guide the development team through the project lifecycle, resolving day-to-day issues, keeping the project on schedule, and improving overall workflow by implementing process enhancements. Ensure the projects deliver desired results and benefits conveyed to the business.
  7. Risk Management: Identifying and mitigating risks. Proactively address potential issues that could impact project delivery, ensuring that the team can adapt and respond effectively.
  8. Performance Tracking: Monitoring development team performance and project progress using various metrics, such as velocity and burn-down charts, to assess how well the team is performing and to identify areas for improvement.
  9. Continuous Improvement: Promoting a culture of continuous improvement is a fundamental aspect of the Agile philosophy. Encourage teams to reflect on their processes and outcomes, fostering an environment where feedback is valued and acted upon.
  10. Additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  1. 5+ years of experience working with development teams as a scrum master or project manager.
  2. Knowledge of agile methodologies such as kanban and scrum and ability to adapt to the changing needs of the business.
  3. Experience with Azure Dev Ops
  4. Willing to commit to a one-year project working onsite full-time in San Antonio office
  5. Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, business, or related field or equivalent work experience.


Additional Qualifications

  1. Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar certification is a plus.
  2. Knowledge of SaFe Principles is a plus.
