Job Summary: The Hazardous Materials Coordinator will manage hazardous materials, ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations at NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center (AFRC). This role involves preparing permit applications, conducting inspections, and providing technical consultation on environmental compliance regulatory issues. Responsibilities: * Manage hazardous materials permits as required under the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS). * Prepare permit applications for hazardous materials storage areas. * Perform spot and quarterly inspections/audits of chemical storage areas and TSCA regulated areas. * Compile EPCRA Emergency and Hazardous Chemical Inventory (Tier II) reports annually. * Provide technical consultation on environmental compliance regulatory issues. * Train Chemical Issue/Storage Point Managers quarterly on current issues with hazardous material management.
