Job Role- Sr. Project Engineer

Job Description (only U.S.C)
· Own the schedule, cost, performance, and process for driving success on cross-functional aerospace engineering projects.
· Manage the design and integration of complex assemblies
· Host and coordinate integrated product team meetings with key stakeholders
· Develop and participate in product design reviews
· Act as the customer representative and main point of contact to their external customers
· Maintain an ongoing action item tracker and hold stakeholders accountable to drive on-time action item closure
· Generate status reports and present project status to external and internal stakeholders on a regular basis
· Proactively identify project scope, budget, and schedule risks and implement strategies to minimize risk and overcome project success barriers.
· Follow defined processes to update and maintain customer systems and databases (including PLM software) with the latest project status
· Participate in ad-hoc project engineering initiatives, such as failure investigations (RRCAs), engineering changes (configuration management), earned value management systems (EVMS)
· Leverage your engineering knowledge to have informed, technical discussions across engineering groups to have a thorough understanding of technical project performance
· Visit customers in-person as needed to drive project progress
· Escalate project barriers and risks as needed
· Own and maintain all project documentation
· Coordinate with suppliers as needed
· Follow all required standard work, and adhere to all compliance and regulation requirements
Basic Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
· 8+ year(s) of relevant experience
· Direct experience acting as a senior project engineer or IPT Lead
· Experience working with Teamcenter or other PLM software
· Ability to proactively take action to drive on-time results
· Outstanding communication and technical writing skills
· Excellent customer service skills
· Must be a U.S. Citizen
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience managing projects through the engineering design process
· An understanding of engineering outsourcing business practices
· Knowledge of inspections procedures, such as FPI, MPI, X-Ray, etc.
· Knowledge of common metal hardware repair types, such as blend repairs, coating repairs, welding repairs, etc.
· Exposure to project or program management
· Experience writing or creating standard work, establishing processes, and documenting lessons learned
· Experience with Adobe Framemaker

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $62,000.47 - $847,605.54 per year
