The report contains information on security policies as well as crime and fire statistics for the University. Summary: The Student Assistant will provide administrative support to the department. In addition to performing miscellaneous clerical duties, the Student Assistant will also be required to answer phones and greet visitors to the office, taking detailed messages for staff follow-up as necessary. S/he will also be required to assist with various department projects as assigned. The Advocacy Program has an opportunity for 2 Work Study students for Research Assistant positions for the upcoming year. It would be 10 - 15 hours per week. Duties would include research projects as well as program development assignments. * Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. * Must be able to handle confidential information in a discreet manner. * Strong written and verbal communication skills. * Reliable and patient with visitors. * Office experience a plus. * Ability to work independently. * Strong customer service and organizational skills.
