Summary

The Advisory Team Manager is an integral member of the Advisory Services Group, tasked with providing day-to-day oversight and direction to Lead Advisors (Advisors) and ensuring the effective delivery of services within the Advisory Services Group. This role collaborates with other Advisory Team Managers and the Service Manager to address the needs of Foster Group's clients and prospective clients. The principal responsibilities of the Advisory Team Manager include managing and coaching Advisors, as well as ensuring accountability in delivering our client experience.


Primary Duties:


Advisor Support

  • Provide daily feedback and coaching to team members
  • Develop and coordinate training plans for new team members
  • Work with team members to develop annual goals and complete monthly check-ins on progress towards established goals
  • Maintain understanding of overall workload and team capacity
  • Lead and facilitate team meetings


Coordination and Collaboration

  • Ensure the Advisory Services Group is delivering a consistent client experience that effectively communicates our value proposition
  • Identify key projects and help develop a strategy for execution, monitoring, and follow-up
  • Work closely with the Chief Practice Officer to monitor and evaluate the execution of our services
  • Communicate and collaborate with other Advisory Team Managers and Service Manager to proactively manage workflow and capacity
  • Work with the Chief Growth Officer to manage sales goals for service advisors and route prospective clients


Continual Process Improvement & Innovation

  • Determine processes that could be modified to allow Advisory Team to deliver a higher level of client service
  • Identify tasks that are candidates for automation
  • Work with various departments to streamline current procedures
  • Look for innovation opportunities to enhance or expand our client experience


Business Development

  • Participate in professional organizations
  • Continually work to maintain and expand professional networks


Other duties as needed



Education/ Experience:

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • 10+ years work experience in the financial services field preferred
  • Experience managing and providing supervision to others
  • CFP designation or pursuit of CFP designation preferred



Required Skills:

The Advisory Team Manager must have strong interpersonal, communication, problem solving, and data gathering skills. The individual must be a self-starter and be able to interpret obscure requests. The individual must be a team player who is flexible and open to change as well as demonstrate the ability to handle multiple requests simultaneously and be an effective delegator. Intermediate MS Office skills needed.
