Advertising Specialist Create value at TC Transcontinental

We are currently looking for an Advertising Specialist to work with our client , Rexall Pharmacy Group Ltd, reporting to the Sr. Manager – Front Shop Sales & Promotions. The Advertising Specialist is responsible for coordinating Flyer Block Plans, developing Grand Opening Flyers and Manual Flyer signage. This role ensures that all offers and events are communicated to business partners to ensure in-store execution.

• Coordinate and manage building out Block Plans.
• Collaborate with Sr. Manager – Front Shop Sales & Promotions in the development and coordination of flyer block plans based on grid allocation per Category Management team.
• Coordinate and support Category Managers in facilitating the execution event for all flyer consumer communications including: Special events, Themes, “New” offers / launches, Private Label and Grand Openings.
• Coordinate and manage the Grand Opening Flyers production.
• Compile Flyer Distribution options for new / relo / reno stores on an as needed basis.
• Follow up on Flyer Distribution issues with both Retail Stores and Distributors.
• Develop/maintain and summarize competitive activity calendar to support insightful planning development.
• Create manual signage and Month Long manual signage.
• Create the Special 3 up signage supporting national events and global marketing initiatives.
• Collaborate with Merchandising Business Application (Weekly Playbook) to ensure weekly manual flyer signage is executed.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support Rexall Pharmacy Group Ltd.

Context And Environment

Must be able to perform in the fast-paced environment, where abilities to manage multiple projects and resources while working on several different assignments at the same time and meeting deadlines are essential. Must be able to deliver results and execute judgements under minimal supervision in line with brand principles and brand best practices. Can be a subject to pressure associated with tight timelines and requirement to coordinate/balance cross-functional teams.

• University or college degree in business, marketing or an equivalent degree in a field of study related to the job and businesses marketed
• 3-5 years of relevant work experience
• Exceptional interpersonal skills to build partnerships to effectively source information, obtain approvals and build relationships
• Creative problem solving, a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment
• Attention to detail, strong project management skills
• Strong ability to prioritize multiple projects to set and manage priorities to meet deadlines, all within a multi-tasking environment with changing priorities
• Strong writing and presentation abilities
• Familiarity with digital and standard marketing channels
• Self-starter
• Strong computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft Office, and other relevant applications
