Reporting to Advantix's Chief Information Officer & Senior Vice President of Operations, the Business & Support Analyst II will be a dynamic individual who is knowledgeable and passionate about telecommunication solutions and is highly customer-focused and efficient. Summary: This individual will be a member of the software development team in the Information Technology department. The Business & Support Analyst actively engages in the software development lifecycle by performing process and enterprise analysis, working with product owners to gather and develop software requirements, and ensuring customer and business needs are met. The Analyst will be responsible for understanding the business and functional features of applications they are supporting in order to effectively support end-users. The Analyst will contribute to successful launch of and continuing maintenance of applications and reporting products by providing training and documentation as required, participating in user acceptance testing, participating in implementation configurations, and serving as the technical support liaison to the development team. Additionally, the Business & Support Analyst II will participate in the development and modification of reporting templates. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: gathering project requirements and turning them into development specifications; coordinating projects; creating documentation; creating or modifying reporting templates; answering ad-hoc data analysis questions; developing data migration scripts; providing training; configuring applications for implementation projects; and providing technical support. Tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and project management software will be used in the performance of job duties, in addition to in-house developed Advantix applications. Essential Responsibilities: Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, meetings, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis. Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs. Independently identify opportunities for process and systems improvement within departments or functions and make recommendations for solutions Submit user stories and report cases to development team Coordinate report development once requirements have been determined Create and modify report templates Work independently with users to define concepts. Create supporting documentation for applications and reports Configure applications for internal and external customer implementations Develop data migration scripts to aid in implementations or support Provide training for internal users on application/report enhancements Troubleshoot technical issues with applications and reports to resolve or provide information to development team when required Core Competencies: Strong communication skills (oral and written) Analytical mindset but capable of taking an adaptive and creative approach to problem solving Capable of building consensus in teams and helping to determine cross-departmental priorities Presentation skills Prioritization/organization skills to successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously. Problem solving Proficiency with SQL database scripting and ETL technologies Proficient in the creation of Microsoft Reports and Dynamic Reports Process improvement leadership Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent work experience is required. Other: Travel may be required for the execution of the duties of the position. Advantix may allocate such additional duties for this position as informed by the Chief Information Officer & Senior Vice President of Operations from time to time as necessary to meet the business needs of Advantix. Compensation: Compensation Range: $80,000 - $90,000 Actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on a number of variables including work experience, education and skills/ achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
