Summary

Position Summary: The Advancement Services Manager will provide excellent support efforts for United Way of Tarrant County’s software applications across departments and will provide leadership in the integration of those applications. The Advancement Services Manager will deliver technical instructions to educate internal and external users, coordinate implementation processes for customers, create detailed reports, and research tasks to provide sound solutions to customer requests.

Supervisory Responsibilities: None

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop expertise of software applications including, but not limited to, Social Solution’s ETO, Frontstream’s eWay, and Andar 360
  • Train staff on aspects of supported departmental software applications as needed and serve as a staff go-to source for system troubleshooting.
  • Provide assistance to end-users upon request or as instructed
  • Help oversee optimal usage of Andar 360 across all departments.
  • Assist in segmenting and stewardship of donor profiles through database system
  • Manage software configurations (ETO program sites)
  • Manage data imports from IRS’s TaxSlayer into software (ETO) for the VITA program
  • Create and manage online giving campaigns, including development of HTML websites, managing data imports and exports, and facilitating all online communications in the donor management software
  • Serve as account lead for select campaigns as assigned
  • Conduct demos of online pledging for prospective companies
  • Identify and resolve technical issues to reduce downtime
  • Remain current with technical skills and new technologies as they relate to supported software applications, including researching trends on online giving
  • Coordinate and report to Management the status of projects in progress
  • Perform on-call duty as required and/or instructed
  • Maintain accurate donor records in electronic formats and in donor database, including contributions, relationships, contact information and communication
  • Ensure donor method of giving, such as credit card or invoicing is up to date
  • Conduct monthly reconciliation with accounting records
  • Run reports for monthly, quarterly and annual metrics
  • Organize and track departmental solicitations and acknowledgment materials in Teams channel for recordkeeping
  • Work with Development Manager to develop and implement stewardship strategies that strengthen long-term relationships with donors at various recognition levels
  • Research to generate new leads, prospects, donors, grant applications for the Development team
  • Additional projects as assigned

Essential Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States (No Sponsorship)
  • Previous experience in multiple areas of technology (support desk, application programming, development, ASP application support, etc.)
  • Experience with United Way systems preferred
  • Practical experience troubleshooting and maintaining software applications
  • Must have insured vehicle and possess current and valid Texas driver’s license
  • Great customer service orientation to both internal and external key relationships essential

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or MIS discipline preferred or equivalent experience

Work Hours: Regular work hours will be during traditional working days and times of Monday-Friday 8-5PM. Flexible hours are permitted due to participation at early morning, evening, and weekend meetings.

  • Will require some evenings, weekends for special events
  • Although remote work is permitted occasionally for this position, the individual must reside primarily in North Texas with the ability to work from the office or other required location daily.
