This position reports to

Head of Global Supplier Manager

Your role and responsibilities

Role Summary:

• ABB quality representative at supplier side
• Leader supplier quality monitoring and improving activities in responsible area, support SQE/SE to reach ABB business targets
• “First quality gate “of supplier quality performance, leader supplier SQP, APQP, PPAP and approval mass production samples
  
  

Responsibilities:

• Involved in new supplier selection, responsible for SQP, perform SQQ, sustainability audits and follow up corrective actions of SQQ from all new potential suppliers
• Responsible for all new design, localization, transferring parts supplier APQP processes
• Perform annual audit to key suppliers and follow up corrective action
• Liaise with R&D engineering functions for resolution and escalation of technical issues
• Lead APQP (Advanced Product Quality Procedure) at supplier side to implement preventative quality assurance method
• Perform process audit and follow up corrective actions
• Lead quality issues resolution during developing and follow up corrective action. Maintain and update open issue list
• Lead sample approval activities
• Ensure effective communication of technical issues, to suppliers and internal customers
• Development and implementation of new regional supply chains identified by commodity strategies and new product development / provision
• APQP sample status report and maintain data in system
• Provide quality training to suppliers
• Sample approval handover/Handover Package
• Global supporting and co-operation for new programs and migration projects
• Supporting SCM saving projects, like localization
• The owner of “First Delivery Qualification” process
• Support SQE to analyze and solve critical supplier quality issues happened during mass production
• Monthly report and maintain data in system
• Other jobs assigned
  
  

Qualifications for the role

• -Bachelor’s or over degree in mechanical engineering with 5+ years working experience and abundant knowledge in Welding parts, Equipment/Assembly parts, Machining,Cable Harness manufacturing or development.
• -Very good program management skill, has successful project experience in supplier quality development during new projects
• -Rich knowledge and experiences in quality system management, like ISO 9001, ISO 14001, knowledge of TS16949 is preferred.
• -Solid knowledge and experience in QC tools, like PPAP, APQP, MSA, SPC, FMEA.
• -be familiar with Welding parts, Equipment/Assembly parts, Machining,Cable Harness process
• -Knowledge of Lean manufacture, 6 Sigma is preferred
• -Problem solving and proactive
• -Solid Supplier audit knowledge and relevant experiences.
• -Self-discipline, self-motivation
• -“Can do” attitude and result orientation
• -Strong communication skills and team work attitude
• -Proficient oral & written English skills.
