Summary

An exciting opportunity for trainee or qualified Advanced Clinical Practitioners (ACP’s) to join our Ophthalmology service has arisen. Based in our new unit in Central Milton Keynes, we have key roles in Glaucoma, Medical Retina, Cataract, and Urgent Eye Care.

These are key new roles to support and provide advanced care within our new unit. Our ambition is to transform the delivery of Ophthalmology care for the patients of Milton Keynes to match the national best practice guidance around the delivery of high-flow Ophthalmology. As an ACP you will be instrumental in shaping the service across the sub-specialities of ophthalmology.

As a trainee ACP the post holder will commence at Band 7 and is expected to be working to achieve the scope as described. They will be assesses and monitored throughout their training against these elements supported by the 4 pillars of advanced practice framework

We welcome applications from those seeking to develop their career as an ACP and those who are already working as an ACP in Ophthalmology. Candidates will be asked to express their subspeciality preference within their application.

We are looking for someone who can make a difference to patients and staff, modelling outstanding care every time and the ability to promote a positive team working ethic. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be highly motivated and flexible in your approach to care delivery and committed to quality improvement.
