SAP ABAP Consultant

Key Responsibilities:
- IT Business Analysis
- Provides research and analysis to review and support business operations and presents findings to project leader
- Advises and collaborates with key internal and/or external clients to elicit complex business issues, determine root cause(s), and determine business requirements (functional and technical)
- Documentation of business requirements and ensuring clients sign-off
- Designs business solutions for assigned area(s) of responsibility
- Involve in demos building and presentation using recommended Tax Tech Applications
- Coordinate user testing and provide input to improve the quality of the Tax Tech Applications
- Tax Knowledge
- Develop and maintains knowledge on current and emerging tax technical developments/trends and assess the impact to existing business requirements
- Identifies and directs the tax knowledge base and how to share across external and internal clients
- Provides direction on initiatives to build and enhance the tax knowledge base tools
- Participates in Tax profession and industry developments and trends
- Project Management
- Manage implementation of Tax Technology projects end to end
- Maintain and manage projects including project scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables
- Must be able to establish project management framework and apply techniques for planning, tracking, change control, and risk & issues management
- ABAP
- Lead and engage in the development, customization, testing and /or selection of tax technology tools and systems both internally within BDO and for our clients
- Be the technical expert ensuring quick turnaround in identifying the issues in applications and provide resolution
- Develop project estimates for completion of builds, system integration tests (SIT) and the implementation of Solutions
- Develop, code, document, and execute quality analysis, perform SIT and acceptance tests
- Perform and coordinate technology tools and systems maintenance and upgrade
- Be a mentor and coach to other team members and junior developers
- Assess and help improve current processes and data flow surrounding existing Tax Tech Applications
- Involve in building of demos with recommended Tax Tech Applications
- Able to troubleshoot and coordinate with development team on bugs and issues tracking

Qualification:
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Management or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience in Information Technology development and implementation or a related field
- Exposure to Tax technology.
- Experience working with SAP ERPs, Oracle ERPs, building SAP cockpits and integrating it with E-invoice, E-waybill.
Good to have:
- Proven experience helping organizations design or implement effective Tax Technology solutions with an emphasis on improving data quality & efficiency.
- Is able to understand how the different tax technologies work, provide an unbiased approach to solution selection, and implement tax systems using leading practices for clients in India.
- Application control, program and project delivery design, architecture and solution design, information management and operations.
- Vendor selection assistance, controls/security design and implementation, pre/post go-live support and training on tax technology applications.
- Enterprise application assessments including controls and security design reviews, process performance improvement and utilization assessments.
- Understanding of and/or implementation experience with Rise with SAP is preferable
