About Us

Riverbend Community Mental Health is a private, nonprofit organization in central New Hampshire that provides specialized behavioral health and addiction treatment services for children, adolescents, adults, and families.

We currently have an opening in our Community Support Program for an Admissions Program Assistant and are seeking candidates who are passionate about the mental health field and are looking to join a team of dynamic and dedicated professionals!

As an Admissions Program Assistant, you will provide essential administrative and clerical support that ensures the smooth and efficient functioning of the program, while actively engaging with clients and clinical staff in various capacities.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly and appropriately to incoming admissions calls.
  • Handle both phone and walk-in referrals.
  • Assess the needs of clients and their families.
  • Send intake and welcome packets, along with related communications, to incoming clients/guardians.
  • Schedule and/or reschedule intake appointments as necessary.
  • Ensure that all intake appointments are completed.
  • Track deadlines for paperwork related to clinical and other purposes.
  • Process daily payments and log deposits.
  • Actively participate as a member of the SCP PA team, providing cross-coverage when necessary.

  • Clear communication skills: Ability to articulate ideas clearly and effectively to foster understanding and collaboration with clients and colleagues.
  • Critical Thinking: Employ analytical skills to assess complex situations, make informed decisions, and develop innovative solutions.
  • Ethical standards: Uphold the highest standards of integrity and ethical behavior, ensuring that all interactions align with professional and moral guidelines.
  • Teamwork and Independence: Exhibit flexibility and adaptability, excelling both as an independent worker and a collaborative team member.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills are vital for success in this role.

Education And Experience Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Work experience in an office providing healthcare service is preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license
