Our client is looking for an Contract Specialist for a possible Contract opportunity based out of their Wayne, MI. location



Contract Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the ongoing monitoring of service provider adherence to contractual obligations and operational standards, encompassing programmatic and fiscal evaluations.
  • Act as a community liaison and advocate.
  • Facilitate the identification and engagement of new Purchase of Service Vendors, including reviewing of applications.
  • Provide support for compliance initiatives under the guidance of the Contracts Manager, which includes participation in assessments and audits.
  • Conduct reviews and ensure the timely follow-up on vendor and contractor insurance, licensure, and other annual compliance requirements.
  • Perform tasks related to word processing, data entry, administrative support, and the maintenance of budget records.
  • Prepare and dispatch contract addendums as instructed by the Contracts Manager.
  • Maintain up-to-date agency policies and procedures in accordance with relevant regulations.
  • Execute other duties as assigned.


Monday-Friday 8am-4pm or 9am-5pm

Contracts Specialist Skills Needed:

  • Experience in maintaining records and utilizing electronic filing systems is preferred.
  • A valid driver’s license and dependable transportation are necessary.
  • The ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment is essential.
  • Candidates should be well-organized and capable of meeting deadlines.
  • A background in data entry and management is expected.
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and group process skills are required.
  • A strong commitment to performing job functions with ethics, honesty, and integrity is paramount.
  • Accuracy, conscientiousness, flexibility, and strong attention to detail are crucial attributes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, and Access (specifically using a developed database), is required.
  • General computer proficiency is also necessary.
