Denmark Technical College is seeking an enthusiastic and qualified adjunct instructor for our Building Construction Fundamentals Program. This role involves teaching dual enrollment students in high school, covering foundational building construction skills, building codes, residential electrical, site layout, and more. Responsibilities
Teaches courses in building construction fundamentals, building codes, residential electrical systems, site layout, and other related subjects.
Delivers engaging, hands-on lessons to dual enrollment students at the high school level.
Ensures course content aligns with program standards and industry best practices.
Provides academic support and mentorship to students.
Participates in faculty meetings and collaborate with other instructors.
Evaluates student performance and provide constructive feedback.
Minimum And Additional Requirements
Associate's degree in construction management, Building Construction, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
Two years of teaching experience, particularly in a technical or vocational education setting.
Residential Builder's License or equivalent industry certification.
Strong knowledge of building construction principles, residential electrical systems, and building codes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to teach diverse student populations, including high school students in dual enrollment setting.
Experience in curriculum development and hands-on instructional strategies.
