Summary

Job Responsibilities

Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College seeks a qualified and experienced Adjunct Computer Technology Instructor to deliver high-quality instruction in computer technology courses. The adjunct instructor will be responsible for teaching assigned courses in areas such as programming, networking, cybersecurity, database management, and/or information systems. This position requires expertise in the field, engaging students in active learning, and a commitment to student success.

This position will

  • Develop and deliver engaging instructional content for computer technology courses in alignment with established curriculum standards.
  • Teach courses in various formats, including in-person, hybrid, and online, using appropriate instructional strategies.

Minimum And Additional Requirements

Bachelor’s degree with relevant work experience.

Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft, AWS, etc.) are preferred.

Strong knowledge of current computer technology trends, programming languages, networking, cybersecurity, and other related fields.

Proficiency in using technology to facilitate learning, including learning management systems and instructional tools.

Additional Comments

This position will work with Corporate Training and Economic Development. It is part-time, with teaching assignments based on department needs.

Courses may be scheduled during the day, evening, or weekends and offered in person, online, or hybrid.
