CTS International is seeking a dedicated Additive Manufacturing & Prototype Equipment & Tool Technician 2 to join our dynamic team in Tukwila, WA. In this role, you'll be instrumental in post-processing Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) parts, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and functionality. Your expertise will contribute to the advancement of aerospace, defense, and emerging technology sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute post-processing tasks for SLS parts, including support removal, surface smoothing, and final finishing.
• Apply both manual and machine finishing techniques such as sanding, bead blasting, and polishing to achieve desired aesthetics and functionality.
• Utilize adhesives, primers, and coatings to enhance part durability and appearance.
• Operate and maintain a range of additive manufacturing equipment, including SLA, SLS, Poly Jet, FDM, and DMLS systems.
• Develop and document post-processing workflows for various additive technologies.
• Collaborate directly with customers to optimize designs for manufacturability and post-processing efficiency.

Basic Qualifications:

• Proven hands-on experience with post-processing of SLS and other additive manufacturing parts.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and precision measuring equipment.
• Comprehensive understanding of adhesives, paints, and surface finishing techniques for additive manufacturing materials.
• Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail in post-processing quality control.
• Ability to read and interpret 2D/3D CAD drawings to inform post-processing requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Extensive experience in additive manufacturing processes.
• Background in design, prototyping, and part design.
• Experience with spray painting and finishing models or assemblies.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced R&D environment.
• Strong collaboration skills with both internal teams and external customers.
• Customer-focused mindset with the ability to work directly with clients to achieve goals.

Education/Experience:

An Associate Degree in a technical field and typically 1 or more years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., Bachelor's degree with 3 years of related work experience).

Citizenship Requirement:

Must have US citizenship or Green Card holder.
