Are you ready to shape the future of thermal innovation? The Additive HX Senior Project Engineer will lead integrated product development teams (IPD) consisting of design, aero-thermal, structures, drafting, manufacturing, quality, procurement, and other cross-functional areas. This role is responsible for driving the successful execution of additive heat exchanger (HX) programs, collaborating with management and customers to define technology roadmaps, report progress, resolve technical challenges, and manage changes in project scope. The Senior Engineer ensures alignment across teams and delivers innovative solutions in line with program objectives.
What You Will Do
* Provide leadership to the IPD team and assure that defined requirements and milestones are met, and significant risks are identified and mitigated.
* Manage assigned component budget and identify / report any issues or changes in scope that would impact meeting the assigned budget or schedule.
* Responsible for reporting of team's progress, challenges and solution strategies to customer and Engineering leadership.
* Develop and present detailed presentations of engineering design reviews, as well as internal program management and customer reviews
* Establish the engineering program and customer flight test delivery requirements and work with IPD team to develop a plan assuring detail procurement is kicked-off, assembly tooling and production definition are completed in time to assure hardware delivery milestones are met.
* Ownership of all activities associated with component hardware verification testing. Includes identifying test facility (internal / external), preparation of detailed test plans, overseeing testing efforts, and generating test reports.
* Support technology maturation and validation efforts by planning and coordinating experimental testing and test execution activities in collaboration with test engineering teams; analyze results to inform design improvements and guide development decisions
Qualifications You Must Have
* Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
Qualifications We Prefer
* Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical, Chemical, or Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in project or program management, preferably within a technical or engineering environment
* Demonstrated expertise in additive manufacturing / 3D printing technologies, with knowledge of related processes and materials
* Proven ability to lead cross-functional Integrated Product Development (IPD) teams, with a strong track record of coordinating across engineering, manufacturing, and quality to drive hardware development through to successful build and delivery
* Passion for innovation, with a willingness to explore and implement new ideas in support of advancing additive technologies

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
